Mohammad Jawaid is associate professor at the Biocomposite Technology Laboratory, Institute of Tropical Forestry and Forest Products (INTROP), Universiti Putra Malaysia, in Malaysia as well as visiting professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia since June 2013. He obtained his PhD degree from the Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. He has more than 10 years of experience in teaching, research, and industries.His current research interests include hybrid reinforced and filled polymer composites, fire retardants, lignocellulosic fibres and solid wood, as well as nanocomposites and nanocellulose fibres.Professor Jawaid has published 5 books, 12 book chapters, and has authored more than 100 scientific publications. Rajini Nagarajan is associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kalasalingam University, TamilNadu, India. He obtained his PhD from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kalasalingam University in 2013. He has completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Ghent University, Belgium, and is also working as visiting Scientist in University Putra in Malaysia. Recently, he has received a Young Scientist Fellowship through the Start-up Research Grant Project by Government of India. His research area focuses on the development and material characterization of hybrid composites.Professor Nagarajan has authored 40 publications and 30 conference papers, as well as two book chapters.Jacob Sukumaran has a PhD degree in electro-mechanical engineering from Ghent University, Belgium. After his graduation he worked as a lecturer at EVP Engineering College, Anna University, Chennai, India until 2007. Subsequently, he started to work as an executive officer with Tamilnadu Technology Development Center- Confederation of Indian Industry (TNTDPC-CII). As a coordinator he was involved in technology development for SMEs in automotive sector and nanotechnology applications. In 2010, he joined the Soete Laboratory at the Ghent University as a researcher to work on polymer tribology in developing online monitoring techniques using computer vision for wear detection and transfer layer characterisation. His research focuses on polymer tribology and tribology of natural fibre composites.Dr. Sukumaran has authored 50 publications and conference proceedings.
