Madeline Pinkerton

Madeline is an illustrator living in Edinburgh, Scotland. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art where she spent her final year developing picture book ideas – one of which became this book! She has always been inspired by mythical creatures – identifying particularly with dragons – and spent much of her childhood running across the countryside pretending to be one.After graduating with a first class degree in Illustration, Madeline was an Artist in Residence at Dumfries House, returning to Edinburgh to work part-time and continue her Illustration.She has had a variety of jobs – one of her favourites was running a craft club for children at a library. She currently works as an After School Playworker for a primary school, where she is continually inspired by the many children around her.
