Crash
This is a new novel from this master story-teller. One beautiful Scottish spring day, Julian Custer comes across the devastating scene of a very recent car crash. A car is mangled and only the passenger has survived: Delia Barrow is confused and badly injured; her name is all she can remember. The other car has disappeared. An ambulance is called and Julian is also taken in to hospital having burnt himself rescuing Delia from the burning car. Once at the hospital it seems that Julian is all Delia has: her brother was the dead driver of the car and they had just emigrated together from New Zealand; now she has nothing. Luckily Julian is a solicitor, and so begins a voyage of discovery as they delve into the mystery surrounding the fatal accident and try and try to discover the identity of the missing car.
