Global Scots: Making it in the Modern World

It would be hard to imagine a collection of people more diverse than those interviewed here, from a 24 year-old international women’s footballer, to a world-renowned photographer famous for images of world leaders and iconic celebrities like the Beatles, to a retired Reverend. But a simple and powerful connection links them all: they are all Scots abroad. This look at the fascinating lives of a fraction of Scotland’s expat community, explores how they feel their home country helped shape them, the motivations they had for moving away and the perspectives (both good and bad) that distance has lent them of the land they left behind.
