Poussin to Seurat: French Drawings from the National Gallery of Scotland

This book discusses and catalogues a selection of the finest French drawings from the collection of the National Gallery of Scotland. Ranging in date from the Renaissance to the end of the nineteenth century, it includes major examples by Claude, Poussin, Ingres and Seurat as well as many other fascinating artists from this highly productive national school. A particular feature of this selection will be aquisitions made over the past twenty-five years, a period which has seen a significant strengthening of the Gallery’s drawings collection.
