Lemn Sissay was born in 1967. He has performed on Leftfield’s Leftism album (over 100,000 copies sold in the UK), written the play Chaos by Design for Radio 4, and published a number of collections of poetry including Rebel Without Applause. He is also the editor of the highly acclaimed The Fire People, a collection of poetry by black British writers, published by Payback in 1998.
