The story of the legendary Wraggi-Haggis wars, a now forgotten episode in Scotland’s ancient past. The poem has an unusual background, as explained by its discoverer, Tony Kerfoot: ‘The story began after I unearthed a small box at a car boot sale. Inside was an ancient vellum parchment in Pictish script. It was there, after translation, that I first read of the Wraggi Haggis wars.’The ancient Pictish text is here replicated in full, in a fully updated modern English translation.
