Crooked Cat is an independent publisher based in Edinburgh. Crooked Cat started out as an electronic book publisher, with a business model based on smaller US-based publishers, but has since expanded into paperback print.
Since January 2012, Crooked Cat has published 60 novels in electronic and paperback formats.
Several titles have been long- and short-listed for awards, with three novels – Breath of Africa, An Accidental King and Myopia – currently long-listed for The Guardian’s Not the Booker Prize. Previous nominations for awards include: A Guide to Becoming Distinctly Average – winner of the Beryl Bainbridge Award for a First Time Author 2012.
