The Berlusconi Bonus
Allan Cameron
With a Berlusconi bonus, you pay no tax, you can bribe whoever you wish, your right to fraudulent business practice goes without saying, you can murder almost with impunity, you can even rape women and bugger boys as long as they or their parents don’t have B.B.s as well. When Adolphus Hibbert gets his Berlusconi Bonus he thinks he’s got the license to pursue a life of uninhabited decadence. But his recruitment as a spy by the enigmatic Captain Younce plunges him into an unprecedented sequence of sexual encounters and a sinister geometry of loyalties and betrayals. The Berlusconi Bonus is a novel of ideas. It raises disturbing questions about our society, our values and our selves.
