Dinosaur Bones
Elaine Whybro
A debut collection of modern contemporary poetry covering subjects of “Parenthood”, “Politics” and “Funny Old World”. The 30 poems cover many aspects of modern day life including “Facebook”, “Haldron Collider”, “LOL” and a poem about finding a weird looking potato “Heart Shaped Spud” amongst your shopping. A delightful and thought provoking look at aspects of everyday life. Elaine has been a regular contributer to Fledgling Press writers’ website www.canyouwrite.com and this book brings together 30 of her selected poems including the April 2011 winning entry “Tiger”.
Elaine Whybro
Elaine was born in 1967 in Bangor, North Wales and brought up in Stoke-on-Trent. She started writing poetry at the age of 10 when she discovered the work of Pam Ayres of whom I’m a big fan. She has worked as an au-pair in France, a ceramic designer in the Potteries and trained as a primary school teacher. She lives with her husband in Wrexham and has spent the last 7 years bringing up 3 daughters and writing poetry on Fledgling Press!
