This book (effectively a 2nd edition of Care in Practice for Higher Still) offers learning and teaching materials for anyone beginning a career as a care worker, especially in Scotland, where the book covers Intermediate 2 and Higher requirements, as well as GSVQ and SVQ qualifications. This new, full colour, edition takes account of the main changes to syllabus requirements in sociology and psychology, as well as the changing context of care. Taking a holistic approach, the book looks the key topic areas with clear explanations of how the caring field works. Consideration is given to the practical aspects of the subject, as well as highlighting post-course opportunities.
