Poems, Chiefly in the Scottish Dialect, was Robert Burns’ first published collection of poetry. This collection includes 44 of Burns’ best known poems including ‘To a Louse’, ‘The Cotter’s Saturday Night’, ‘To a Mouse’, ‘The Twa Dogs’ and ‘To a Mountain Daisy’. New material includes an introduction by actor, author and Burns expert John Cairney, an afterword by world-renowned Burns supper speaker Clark McGinn, and illustrations by top political satirist Bob Dewar. Poems, Chiefly in the Scottish Dialect was the only work of Burns’ poetry to be published during his short lifetime, and is probably the most significant book ever published from Scotland.
