Kirsty Logan lives in Glasgow, where she works mainly as a fiction writer and journalist. She was educated at the Universities of Glasgow and Stirling.
As a fiction writer, her work has been widely published in print and online, recorded for radio and podcasts, and exhibited in galleries. She frequently collaborates with visual artists, photographers and musicians to create cross-disciplinary work. Her short stories have been published in over 80 journals and literary magazines, and broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
In 2013 Kirsty was the winner of the Scott Prize for Short Stories awarded by Salt Publishing. Her collection, The Rental Heart and Other Fairytales, was published in March 2014.
Kirsty’s first novel, The Gracekeepers, was published in May 2015 by Harvill Secker. A Portable Shelter, a collection of short stories, was also published in 2015 by the Association for Scottish Literary Studies. Her second novel The Gloaming will be published in 2018 by Harvill Secker.
