Creating Freedom: Empathy (sample chapter)
By (author) Raoul Martinez
If we want a more compassionate society, we must try to be more compassionate. If we want a more informed society, we must try to become more informed. If we want a freer society, we must try to live as if we are already free.A commitment to empathy, truth and freedom needs to be the starting point for economics, politics, culture and education – the foundation for our civilisation. In ‘Empathy’, taken from the highly acclaimed and deeply provocative Creating Freedom, Raoul Martinez outlines his manifesto for the empathy revolution; a revolution that begins in the human imagination. If enough of us can change the way we think about politics, democracy, freedom and each other, Martinez urges, we can transform our society and its possibilities.
