The Stuart Sapphire
August, 1811. The latest mistress of George, Prince of Wales, has been murdered in the royal bedchamber, and – more worryingly for the Prince – the historic jewel the Stuart Sapphire has gone missing. The newly created prince Regent knows that rumours of a sordid scandal must be avoided at all costs and plans to dispose of his late lover’s body in secret. Into the confusion walks Tam Eildor, who is appointed the task of finding the unscrupulous killer and the cunning thief. But coping with a double investigation is least of his worries: fifteen-year-old Princess Charlotte has taken a fancy to their Scottish visitor and isn’t afraid to let her feelings show. Amid a cast of royally quirky and entertaining characters, and as always in constant peril, Tam attempts to solve the dual mystery by outwitting the sinister forces that surround him and plot his death. Another spellbinding mystery from the pen of the highly acclaimed Alanna Knight.
