Jenny Colgan is a chick-lit novelist, originally from Prestwick and now living and working in France. After graduating from Edinburgh University, she worked in the NHS for six years while harbouring a secret desire to become a cartoonist. She was also a stand-up comic, before the publication of her first novel Amanda’s Wedding in 2000. She has since written 10 other romantic comedies, most recently The Good, The Bad and the Dumped in 2010.
Jenny Colgan mostly lives in France with her husband, a marine engineer, and her three young children. She occasionally writes for The Guardian newspaper.
